THE TOP 3 BEAUTY PRODUCTS IM LOVING RN

Updated: Apr 23, 2018

Ok, so I’m 100% sure I’m not the first person to put this miracle product on their must-have beauty list. To be honest I have only really just started to  look after my skin, previously using soap and water to wash my face, or a cheeky little face wipe (guilty!)

However once I reached 26 I started to notice the tone of my skin looking slightly more tired and not as bright as it once was, with a few more fine lines appearing too.

That’s when I made the decision that I really needed to start investing in some skin care products to ensure I was protecting and looking after my skin.

Having read tons of rave reviews from beauty bloggers and industry professionals about Estée Lauder's Advance Night Repair, this was the first product on my list.

I have to say I am now addicted to this gem of a product. I usually apply the serum in the evening after a shower, using the applicator to place a pea size drop on each finger on one hand. I then rub the serum into all of my fingertips and gently massage it into my face in circular motions. Once applied, I let it soak into my skin for a couple of minutes and then apply my evening moisturiser.

Since using this product I have noticed my skin is a lot softer and hydrated, and I love the silky smooth feeling the serum leaves my skin straight after application.

Okay, so yes we all know this product isn’t cheap, but a little goes a long way - a 30ml bottle lasts me approximately 4 months so it works out around £156 a year, which is quite reasonable for such a fantastic product.

I’m no MUA in the making, but I do love a stroke of highlighter to give my face more definition and to add a little bit of extra glam to my make up looks.

I have tried numerous highlighters from brands such as Bobbi Brown, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC; the list goes on......

However as soon as I started to use the MUA powders, I was absolutely addicted.

My first purchase was MUA’s “Pink Shimmer” and within the first week of applying the highlighter I was asked by numerous people which product I was using.

The powders from MUA are extremely pigmented and blend into other products with ease; without creating any patchy areas on the face. I personally prefer using a powder base highlighter instead of the drops or creams as I find them much easier to blend.

I usually apply the product to my cheek bones, under my eyebrows and on the bridge and tip of my nose. Since using the MUA products I have noticed the highlighter give my make up looks an extra “pop” without being too over the top.

At £3 the highlighters are an absolute steal, and can quite easily achieve the same effect as some of the best premium brands. They also come in a range of different colours, which is a dream if you are someone who likes to play around with different tones and shades, depending on the look you are trying to create.

For example, I personally love the shade “Radiant Cashmere” I find this highlighter perfect for holiday when my skin is slightly more tanned as it helps to achieve a shimmery healthy holiday glow!

To avoid future disappointment I would suggest stocking up on the highlighters when you have a chance; I have noticed numerous times when visiting my local Superdrug or Boots stores  they have been sold out - which kind of tells me they are a must have product for all beauty enthusiasts!

So after seeing practically every blogger on Instagram promote this product I felt like I had to try it!

I haven’t got particularly small lips, but now more and more women are turning to lip fillers, I have to admit, my once wholesome lips now feel, and look, slightly inadequate compared to many others.

I haven’t really felt the need to start injecting my lips just yet, but at the same time I have been looking for something to help me achieve a fuller look, so when I heard about Nu Skins 'Lip Plumping Balm' it was a no brainer for me to give it a try.

I had seen a few before and after shots from other girls who had used the product and thought they looked pretty impressive, but  was curious as to whether I would see the same kind of results.

I hadn’t need to worry, as after using the balm for the first time I noticed within 30 minutes my lips felt softer and looked so much smoother, but more importantly they were a lot plumper, and finally, the fuller look I was craving had been achieved.

For me, some of the best things about this product are; 1. It actually works 2. It’s not permanent and 3. If you get dry lips like me, its perfect for giving you back some moisture! This really is such a great alternative if you want bigger lips, but don’t want to go under the needle to create the aesthetic look you want.

The effects of this lip plumping balm last approximately 3 hours after application so perfect for applying before a night out!

I even saw pictures of a blogger who slept in the lip balm (not sure if she re-applied during the night?) but the results were amazing.
